Cindy and Josh went to the CNE (my camera and I got to go, too). Candy, and carousels, and corn dogs, oh my! More photos to come.

My first meeting with Maria and Tim was back in January. By the time we had all finished our coffees, I had heard the sweet story of how they met (I’m a real sucker for those stories), seen a photo of Maria’s dress, and made the most inappropriate joke of all time (which they graciously let pass). But back to their meeting. Tim was working at the merch table for his friends’ band, which happened to be touring the prairie town where Maria is from. After their first date, Tim told his friends “She’s going to be my girlfriend. Maria told hers “I’m going to marry him.”

Fast forward to their vintage-glam celebration in Toronto’s Distillery District. These two are such a delightful compliment to each other that it was a pleasure to be a part of their special day. The band that Tim was shilling t-shirts and cds for back when he met Maria is Crush Luther, and Luther himself was Tim’s best man. During the ceremony at Arta Gallery, he performed a song he had written specially for Tim and Maria. Other highlights of the day included Maria’s nine-foot veil (seriously, the girl looks like she stepped out of a 1930′s movie!), Tim’s champagne debacle, a hilarious bridal party, the most beautiful Rolls Royce, and a delicious dinner at The Boiler House. Tim and Maria, (Stream and Tornado), I wish you all the best in what will continue to be your awesome life together.

Remember Lisa and James? They were married this past weekend in Algonquin Park, and the party was crazy!…..

Sarah is a go-getter, and once she saw Brian, she knew he was the man for her. I was lucky enough to hear the story of their first date (mini-putt!) when I photographed their engagement portrait session a few weeks ago. We shot on location at the park where they used to go on dates (after the mini-putt date went well). These two are great friends. Brian is a funnyman; he can make Sarah laugh at the drop of a hat. What you can’t see in the photos is the fake British accent, the bad puns, and the fact that he’s silly-walking à la Monty Python along that boardwalk… and that was just for the engagement portrait. I can’t wait to see the giggles at their wedding this fall.

There are plenty more shots where these lovelies came from…but you’ll have to be a little patient.

The session may have include fake British accents and silly walks…These two laugh like nobody’s business.

After photographing Sarah and Ryan, I was pretty sure that one of my new favourite looks is a bright dress in the woods. After photographing Natalie and Eric, I’ve confirmed it. I love the way they pop against a natural backdrop! Natalie and Eric got bonus nature, in the form of horseflies, deerflies, and mosquitos, but toughed it out like pros. (I’d say their time was split 50-50 between killing flies and lovin’ it up.)
